Public Projects

The project includes renovation of 6 historic cabins in Sam A. Baker State Park. The cabins interiors will be renovated toaccommodate a living room with a functional electric fireplace, bedrooms, a kitchen with new cabinets, fixtures, and appliances, bathrooms with new fixtures and finishes, and a storage and mechanical/utility room. The cabin renovations will include mechanical, electrical and plumbing replacement. The exterior construction includes reroofing, repair of the historic wood lap siding, heavy timber repair, stone masonry repointing, exterior door and window repair, and painting of all exterior wood surfaces. The site work includes exterior access, lighting, and adequate storm drainage from all sides of the cabins.

The contract will be a fixed unit price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract for the performance of a broad range of construction services including, but not limited to, minor construction, repair, renovations, alterations, and maintenance.

Demolition of existing shower house & laundry and replacing it with an updated new design shower house with 8 showers & 8 restrooms. The structure will consist of reinforced concrete block walls and a wood framed roof with asphalt shingles along with the other required appurtenances to complete the structure.

Replacement of rooftop air cooled condensers & associated evaporators & refrigerant piping. Additional alternates are included as defined under alternate specification section and on drawings.

Interior renovations to the Infectious Control wing of the facility, that includes updates to the mechanical systems.

The project includes improvement needs in the food preparation area including but not necessarily limited to the following: Replacing the quarry tile floor finish. Replacing sanitary sewer lines, floor drains, trench drains, electrical outlets, cleanouts and other related sanitary sewer or electrical components embedded in the floor. Work shall also include the replacement of separation wall between commercial cooking pots, miscellaneous repairs/restoration of walls, doors and the addition of wall covering to improve sanitary conditions, for the ease of cleaning and care requirements.

Replacing fan coil units & exhaust fans within area of work. Installing one make up air unit, twenty-seen ceiling mounted fan filter units, and all associated architectural & electrical changes required to create seventeen airborne infection isolation rooms.

Clearing, grading, modular block wall, gates, vault installation, stormwater culverts, guardrail, and crushed limestone and concrete paving. The Owner will procure the precast vault restroom, and the Contractor will install in the location shown on the plans in accordance with the Manufacturer's recommendations. The Contractor shall obtain a Franklin County Entrance Permit prior to starting construction.

Site grading, granular street surfacing, utility pads, and offsite extensions for water, sewer, and electric.

Reconstruction of the vestibule inside the Monumental Bronze Doors on the South Portico of the Missouri State Capitol.
